Warren Central bowlers roll over Ridgeland in regular-season finale

CLINTON — Warren Central’s bowling team rolled right past Ridgeland and into the postseason.
James McKenna and Avery Green both rolled 500 series as the Vikings won all four team matches against the Titans Thursday at Indian Lanes in Clinton.
McKenna had a score of 204 in each of the last two games of his three-game series and totaled a match-high 598 pins to lead Warren Central to a 1,514 to 821 victory in the boys’ A-team match.
Avery Green rolled 195, 161 and 194 in his three games for a 550 total, and Dennis Hsu totaled 366 pins in his series.
In the boys’ B-team match, the Vikings won 950-908. Bryson Fischer totaled 244 pins, Ke’Sean Smith 236, and Ashtin Wallace 186 in the first two games of the match. Aiden Oldenberg, Thomas Kilroy and Riley Greene played the last game and totaled 284 to clinch the win.
In the girls’ A-team match, Gracie Davis, Tatum Watts and Kara Rowe carried the Lady Vikes to an 880-696 victory.
Watts was Warren Central’s high roller with 302 pins. Rowe totaled 294 and Davis 284.
For the girls’ B-team, Anna Kate Davis finished with a three-game total of 284 to lead the Lady Vikes to an 803-731 victory.
Olivia Alberts scored 265 for her series, and Avery Greer 254.
Thursday’s match was the regular-season finale for Warren Central. On Tuesday it will travel to Philadelphia for the MHSAA Class II, Division 2 tournament at the Depot Family Fun Center lanes.
Vicksburg High, Florence, Canton, Neshoba Central, North Pike, Ridgeland and Terry will also compete in the tournament, with the top two teams advancing to the state tournament.
