Funeral services for Debra Louise Blackmore Carson are to be held Saturday, Jan. 25, in the St. James M. B. Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Zebedee Baker officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 24, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home.

Debra Louise Blackmore Carson, a Vicksburg resident, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, in the University of Mississippi Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 66.  She worked at the Waffle House restaurant. She also attended Vicksburg High School and Utica Junior College.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Blackmore Russell, and her brother, Bobby Lee Blackmore.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Calvin J. Carson of Vicksburg; her caretaker, JoAnna Blackmore Adams; and Blackmore family and friends.
