News was received of the death of J.P. March, former manager of the telephone company in Vicksburg.

Mr. A.C. Sanders of Maude, Mississippi was in Warren County visiting relatives.

Hiram Day died. 

60 YEARS AGO: 1965

Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Cooper announced the birth of a daughter, Melissa Anne. 

50 YEARS AGO: 1975

Attorney R.E. “Gene” Parker was the guest speaker at the dinner meeting of the National Secretaries Association, Vicksburg Chapter. 

40 YEARS AGO: 1985

Mr. and Mrs. George A. Abraham Jr. announced the birth of a son, Christopher George, on Jan. 22.

30 YEARS AGO: 1995

An early morning fire seriously damaged Flowers by Ed, a shop located at 1805 Clay St.

20 YEARS AGO: 2005

Swirling waters flung a river barge into the Old Mississippi River Bridge.

10 YEARS AGO: 2015

The American Red Cross was training a new group of volunteers in Warren County.
