James Powell, a St. Aloysius alum, helped Northwest Mississippi Community College’s cheerleading team win the national championship in the Open Co-ed Game Day division at the UCA/UDA College Nationals Jan. 17-19 in Orlando, Florida.

Powell was also named to NWCC’s Vice President’s List, which recognizes students who finished the fall semester with a GPA between 3.50 and 3.74.
