The Beautiful Table Setting Bash Vicksburg got off to a strong start Thursday night during the wine and cheese event. On Friday, the Bash resumed with attendees listening to guest speakers, which included former editorial director of Mississippi magazine and author of seven entertaining and decorating books Patty Roper, as well as Keith Winkler, marketing manager for Replacements Ltd., Sassafras owner Margie Steckler and author and designer Melissa Bishop.

Attendees also had the opportunity to browse and shop with the plethora of vendors who were on site at the Levee Street Warehouse.

Jim and Cathy Grambow traveled from El Dorada Hills, California to attend the Vicksburg Bash.

Cathy said she had been enjoying the BTS Facebook page and when she saw there was going to be a Bash in Vicksburg, she and Jim thought it would be fun to check it out.

“I started seeing (BTS Facebook followers) talk about this Bash and thought it sounded like a party,” she said.

“Which got me excited about it too,” Jim added.

Cathy said she and Jim are new to collecting vintage china, crystal and silver and thought the event would also be a chance for them to learn more.

“The Bash has been fabulous,” Cathy said, adding it has been everything the couple thought it would be.

As for visiting Vicksburg for the first time, Cathy and Jim said they were enjoying their stay.

“I am just feeling right at home. Everyone is so friendly. We started experiencing the Southern hospitality with my first phone call to make dinner reservations at Anchuca,” Cathy said.

The couple has plans to check out more of the River City. On Monday, they have planned a tour through the Vicksburg National Military Park, they said.

BTS Bash Vicksburg will continue through Saturday with more shopping and guest speakers, including Vicksburg native Maggie Stamm Langston, who is now a Dallas-based lifestyle influencer and entertaining expert. Also speaking will be BTS founder May Eason and antique appraiser Justin Peters.
