Camille Harris Cox

Camille Harris Cox died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at River Region Medical Center. She was 89.
Mrs. Cox was born in Waterproof, La., and attended Tensas Parish High School. She was a retired casher of 25 years of service with the Noble Cleaners, and was a member of Shiloh M. B. Church, where she was also a mother of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George an Virginia Harris; her husband, the Rev. McKinley Cox Sr.; daughter, Carol Ann Cox-Myles; brothers, George Harris, Sullivan Harris, Lee Harris, Willie Harris and Joe Harris Sr.; sisters, Sophie Kennedy, Matteal Harris and Lucille Harris.
Survivors include her son, McKinley Cox Jr of Vicksburg; daughters, Maxine Cox-Wilson and Sherry Cox-Young, both of Vicksburg; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Shiloh M. B. Church with the Rev. Dr. Willie J. Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
