Gabriel Noriega delivered a game-winning sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning to cap the Jackson Generals’ 5-4, come-from-behind win over the Mississippi Braves Sunday.
The M-Braves led 4-0 after 3 1/2 innings, but couldn’t hold on. Jackson scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, tied it on a bases-loaded walk and run-scoring wild pitch in the eighth, then won it with Noriega’s sacrifice fly in the ninth.
Ramon Moria was 2-for-3 with a double for Jackson. Kyle Kubitza went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored for the M-Braves, and David Rohm had two RBIs.
The M-Braves are scheduled to return home to Trustmark Park to open a five-game series against Huntsville tonight at 7, weather permitting.
