It feels much cooler

A bundled-up U.S. Postal Service employee, Casey Fisher, walks past the Trustmark National Bank thermometer as it registers 57 degrees on Washington Street Monday morning. Though the mercury was not terribly low, it felt much colder after the area came off of temperatures in the 90s in the past week. In fact, during the 24 hours before 7 this morning, the low was 52. Tonight, the mercury was forecast to drop to record lows in the mid-40s, but start climbing back up Wednesday, with them topping out in the high 80s. (The Vicksburg Post/PAT SHANNAHAN)
