ARCHIE BLUE JR.

Services for Archie Blue Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Henry Mayfield Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Blue died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at Vicksburg Medical Center. He was 89.

Mr. Blue was retired from Anderson-Tully Company. He was a member of Mount Zion No. 4 Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Annie Blue Sr.; and a son, Charles Blue Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Abbie Lee Blue of Vicksburg; two sons, Claude Blue and Lonnie Dean Blue, both of Vicksburg; seven daughters, Willena Miles and Mildred Scott, both of Blye, Ore., Bobbie Swafford of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Nakesha Blue, Malinda Jones, Linda Johnson and Beverly Johnson, all of Vicksburg; 33 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
