LILY KIRTEN GAUTIER

Lily Kirten Gautier died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at her home in Cary, N.C.. She was 87.

Born in Lake Village, Ark., Mrs. Gautier was the daughter of the late William and Augusta Simms Kirten. She attended Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, Ark., graduating in 1932. She taught at Carr Central High School for a number of years and later taught kindergarten at Crawford Street Methodist Church. She was a volunteer at ParkView Regional Medical Center and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She moved to Cary in 1995.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis B. Gautier; and a daughter, Cecelia Gautier Hunsberger.

She is survived by a son, Bill Gautier of Cary; a sister, Mathilda Harbour of Lexington, Ky.; and a grandson, Jacob Kirten Gautier of Portland, Ore.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. John G. McCall and the Rev. Eric Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service at the church Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church.

DONALD EUGENE JOHNSON SR.

HOLLY BLUFF Donald Eugene Johnson Sr. died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at his home in Holly Bluff. He was 79.

A native of Sebier County in Arkansas, Mr. Johnson was a longtime resident of Yazoo County. He was of the Church of God faith.

He was preceded in death by a son, Hollis Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Amelia M. Johnson; five sons, Donald Johnson of Vicksburg, Jerry Johnson of Water Valley, Donald E. Johnson Jr. of Vancleave, Richard Johnson of Satartia and Keith Johnson of River Bank, Calif.; a sister, Edna Holcomb of Dequeen, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City.

Visitation will be from noon Wednesday until the service at the funeral home.

ANITA W. JONES

Services for Anita Williams Jones will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 45.

Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Jones was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed as an administrator for the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Jones; her father, Charles Williams Sr.; and her grandmother, Matteal Harris.

She is survived by two daughters, LaShondra M. Williams and MonToya Y. Williams, both of Vicksburg; her mother, Martha M. Williams of Vicksburg; two sisters, Virginia Connor of Vicksburg and Rose Blair of Corpus Christi, Texas; four brothers, Charles Williams Jr. and Nathaniel Williams, both of Vicksburg, Howard Williams of Detroit and John Wesley Williams of New Orleans; her grandmother, Mary Taylor of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and other relatives, including the Williams , Smith, Cox, Harris, Bell, Kennedy, Nash, Taylor, Lowe and Jones families.

DOLLY LONG

Dolly Long died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Riley Hospital in Meridian. She was 78.

Mrs. Long was a native of the New Harmony community of Neshoba County and had lived in Philadelphia most of her life. She had lived in Vicksburg for the past six years. She was retired from the City of Philadelphia as a dispatcher. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star, Philadelphia Chapter.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Long of Vicksburg; two sons, Ted Long of Vicksburg and Sammy Long of Pearl; four brothers, Archie D. White and Joe R. White, both of Columbia, S.C., Hugh L. White of Warrenton, Mo., and John N. White of Philadelphia; three sisters, Sue Chadwick of Brandon, Mae Jolly of Meridian and Ouida Williams of Carthage; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia with Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 Tuesday night at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
