JAMAAL LAANTIUS SHERELL ODOM

HERMANVILLE Jaamal LaAntius Sherell Odom of Hermanville died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, as the result of a gunshot wound.

He was 18.

Mr. Odom was a member of Christian Chapel Church

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Joanna Hedrick; his uncle, Robert Bailey Jr.; and great-uncle, James Odom Sr.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jimmie L. and Marilyn Williams Odom of Port Gibson; his father, Carl Bailey of Fayette; maternal grandparents, Kenneth Odom Sr. and Octavia Odom of Port Gibson; paternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Bailey of Lorman; four brothers, Jibri A. Odom, Damion Jones, both of Port Gibson, and Carlos Rankin and Laringa Rankin, both of Fayette; two sisters, Kitwanga L. Wilson and Germany S. Odom, both of Port Gibson; aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Services will be at noon Saturday at A.W. Watson Elementary School in Port Gibson with the Rev. Leonard Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Thompson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. today at Rollins Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
