REGINA MARIE ANKLAM

JACKSON Regina Marie Anklam died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at her home. She was 44.

Born in Germany, Miss Anklam attended St. Aloysius High School and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Virginia. She returned to Mississippi and earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Mississippi in 1980. She had been an operating room nurse for more than 20 years.

She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church where she was a member of the church choir. She was a member of the Jackson Choral Society and volunteered at New Stage productions. She was also a volunteer at the three major exhibits at the Arts Pavilion hosted by the Mississippi Commission for International Cultural Exchange. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a nursing honor society and A.O.R.N., a national organization for operating room nurses.

Survivors include her mother, Bernice Anklam of Highland Falls, N.Y.; three sisters, Nancy Anklam of Madison, Carolynn Anklam of Germantown, N.Y., and Kristina Anklam of Highland Falls; two brothers, Fred Anklam and James Anklam, both of Arlington, Va.; and other relatives.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Richard Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home with wake at 7.

B.L. CLARK

Services for B.L. Clark will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Rudy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Clark died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 89.

Born in Jefferson County, Mr. Clark was a retired logger. He was a member of Mount Carmel M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Roxianna Rogers Clark; a daughter, Sallie Mae Williams; his mother, Lula Willis; his father, Andrew Clark; and two sisters, Ida Kirkland and Mary Barnes.

Survivors include three sons, Samuel Clark, Johnnie Clark and Edmond Clark, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Lillie Mae Flagg and Gloriastine Clark, both of Vicksburg; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and other relatives including Georgia Baxter, and the England, Hall, Smith and Reynolds families, all of Vicksburg.

CHRISTOPHER G. ETHRIDGE

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. Christopher G. Ethridge died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, in Breckenridge as the result of an automobile accident. He was 31.

Born in Bryan, Texas, Mr. Ethridge graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1988 and received his emergency medical training from Front Range Community College. He had been employed as a volunteer firefighter, engineer and a medic for the Red, White and Blue Fire District in Breckenridge. He raced mountain bikes competitively for many years. He and three others owned and operated Great Adventures Sports.

He is survived by his parents, Frank and Sylvia Ethridge of Fort Collins; two sisters, Sandra Colwell of Houston, Texas, and Lisa Ethridge of Denver, Colo.; and others including Flavia Overman and Rose Mary Palermo, both of Vicksburg.

Memorial services were Oct. 28 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Breckenridge.

JESSIE JOHNSON

Services for Jessie Johnson will be at 2 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Blackmore Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 46.

He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Will Johnson.

Survivors include his mother, Josephine Johnson Kenny of Vicksburg; four brothers, Leon Johnson of Dallas, James Johnson and Timothy L. Johnson, both of Vicksburg, and Cleotha Johnson of Jackson; six sisters, Loraine Miller of Jackson and Joyce M. Anderson, Edna Lee Williams, Olivia Hagan, Lee Virgia Johnson and Leanna Patterson, all of Vicksburg; and other relatives.

ESTELLA MAYFIELD

Services for Estella Mayfield will be at noon Thursday at Springhill M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Service.

Mrs. Mayfield died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 97.

A homemaker, she was a member of Greater Mount Zion M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mayfield Sr.; a daughter, Vernell Mayfield; her parents, Charlie and Alice Williams; and her brother, Felix Brown.

Survivors include her son, James Mayfield Jr. of Vicksburg; her daughter, Estella Mayfield Crawford; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.

OSIE MAE McGRAW

Osie Mae McGraw died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 76.

Born in Hinds County, Mrs. McGraw was a retired nurse’s aide.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.J. and Sallie Ann Robinson.

She is survived by three sisters, Roberta Harris of Vicksburg, Ruth Jacob of Chicago and Francis Robinson of California; two nephews, Leo Harris Jr. and Leo Harris III, both of Vicksburg; a niece, Angela Andrews of Vicksburg; and other relatives including Catherine Molex Currie, Louis Tyler and Elton Mays, all of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

SCOTT WILLIAM MURRAY

BRANDON Services for Scott William Murray will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Campbell, pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Murray died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was 27.

Born in Hazlehurst, he lived in Vicksburg until four years ago when he moved to Brandon. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School. He was self-employed as a Snap-On Tool dealer for the past four years. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his son, Nicholas Scott Murray of Brandon; his fiance, Sandy Tate of Brandon; his parents, Shelby Dean and Peggy Ann Murray of Vicksburg; two brothers, Shelby Dean Murray Jr. of Hattiesburg and Christopher Murray of Vicksburg; and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be William James Zaremba, Jay Jabour, Corey Kindhart, Jimmie Lee Murray, John Sibley, Paul Hebert, Scott Newman and Christopher Gilmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Purvis, Clyde McKenzie, Shelby D. Murray Jr., Christopher Murray and Glen Cussack Jr.
