WILLIAM L. SANDERS

William L. “Bill” Sanders died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at Monfort-Jones Hospital in Kosciusko. He was 68.
Mr. Sanders was born in Vicksburg. He retired as chief engineer in the maintenance department of Vicksburg Medical Center. He had lived in Kosciusko for the past four years.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Sanders of Kosciusko; two sons, Kevin Sanders of Vicksburg and Josh Sanders of Kosciusko; two daughters, Mitzi Kent and Kim Landers, both of Vicksburg; a stepson, Ronnie Smith of Kosciusko; five stepdaughters, Mollie Barrentine, Georgia McBroom and Kathy Brown, all of Vicksburg, Debbie James of Kosciusko and Donna Walding of Houston, Texas; a sister, Gertrude Wilson of Bainbridge, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Suell, Mike Bishop, Charlie Miller, Joe Lynn, Christopher Walding, William Goss, Joe McBroom and Chris Fielder.
GLADYS L. RAY
NEWELLTON Gladys L. Ray died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. She was 88.
Born in Jackson, Mrs. Ray was a resident of Newellton. She was a housewife.
Services were at 10 a.m. Friday at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
ROSEMARY WALKER
Rosemary Walker died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 66.
Mrs. Walker was a housewife and a homemaker. She was a member of Rose Hill No. 1 M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Walker Sr.; a son, Ivory Joe Walker; her father; and a brother.
She is survived by four sons, George Walker Jr., Albert Walker, Adam Walker and Albert S. Johnson, all of Vicksburg; her mother, Mary Florence Johnson of Vicksburg; two sisters, Bessie Johnson O’Neal and Margaret Marshall, both of Vicksburg; two brothers, Noah Johnson and Julius Johnson, both of Vicksburg; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives, including April Cole.
Robbins Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
