WILLIAM L. BROADWATER

William L. Broadwater died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 76.

Mr. Broadwater was born in Florence and had lived in Vicksburg since 1954.

He was employed by Signa Form and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Vicksburg.

Mr. Broadwater was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Cora Mae Broadwater; three brothers, Tom Broadwater, Burton Broadwater and Albert Broadwater; and a sister, Lucille Johnson.

Mr. Broadwater is survived by his wife, Vinia Genevene Broadwater of Vicksburg; a son, William E. Broadwater of Vicksburg; two brothers, Roy Broadwater and Eugene Broadwater, both of Vicksburg; and a sister, Christine Cupstid of Crystal Springs; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Tipton officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Myers, Bobby Harris, Mark Hughes, Bobby Johnson, James Rousey, Johnny Pousey and Lloyd Smith.

LIZZIE MITCHELL EDWARDS

Lizzie Mitchell Edwards died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 86.

Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and a member of the deaconess board at Springhill M.B. Church.

Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Edwards Sr.; a son, James Mitchell Jr.; her parents, Clinton Brown and Betty Schuler; two brothers, Henry Schuler and Robert Schuler; and two sisters, Annie Mae Floyd and Nancy Cloyd.

She is survived by two sons, Henry Mitchell of Brooklyn, N.Y. and J.B. Edwards Jr. of Vicksburg; two daughters, Ronetta Miller and Rosie Edwards, both of St. Louis, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and others.

Services will be at noon Wednesday at Springhill M.B. Church with the Rev. Frank Gardner Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Lennie Redwine Allen

TALLULAH Lennie Redwine Allen died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, in the Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. She was 89.

Mrs. Allen was born in Rover, Arkansas and had lived in Tensas Parish since 1929.

She was a retired businessman and farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Newellton.

Mrs. Allen is survived by a son, James F. Allen of Ruston; a daughter, Martha Pipes of St. Joseph; two sisters, Tressie Bates of Prairieville, La. and Bonnie Hollis of West Monroe; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Fulton McGraw officiating.

Burial will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton.

Visitation will be from 12 until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rollie Allen Jr., Allen Lansing, Bill Lansing Jr., Greg Gregory, John Floyd Taylor, John S. May and Emmett Gibbs.
