NORA C. ARNOLD

ROXIE Nora C. Arnold died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Natchez Community Hospital. She was 83.

A retired cashier, Mrs. Arnold was a native of Port Gibson and moved to Nashville, Tenn., in 1979. She moved to Roxie in 2000. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Julia A. Moon of Roxie and Vivian Kay Abercrombie of Jackson; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

EARLEAN BYRD BRINNER BAILEY

HERMANVILLE Earlean Byrd Brinner Bailey died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 63.

Born in Claiborne County, Mrs. Bailey was a resident of Hermanville. She was employed as an operator with Port Gibson Plastic Plant. She was a member of Mount Burner Baptist Church in Pattison where she sang in the choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bailey; her parents, George and Ada Mae Byrd; two sisters, Jessie Mae Shorter and Jimmie Lee Williams; and a brother, L.A. Byrd.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry D. Brinner Demby and Lativia Lynn Brinner, both of Hermanville; two stepdaughters, Dorothy Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Marjorie Harris of Chicago; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Burner Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie McQuay officiating. Burial will follow at Pattison Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. today at Rollins Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

KATHEN STAMPS CLARK

EDWARDS Kathen Stamps Clark died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at her home in Edwards. She was 63.

Mrs. Clark was a native of Learned and a member of St. Mark M.B. Church, where she served with the Beautification Club and Pastor Aid.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Stamps and Roberta Smothers Stamps.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Clark of Edwards; three daughters, Patricia Moss and Alice Daniels, both of Edwards, and Gwendolyn McFarland of Champaign, Ill.; two sons, Douglas Clark and Clarence Clark, both of Edwards; five brothers, Horace Stamps and Willie M. Stamps, both of Edwards, Robert Stamps of Kansas City, Kan., and Louis Stamps and Johnny Ray Stamps, both of Petersburg, Va.; two sisters, Eddie Coleman of Los Angeles and Ora Lee Sims of Chicago; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; aunts; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends, including Ella Mae Willis, Betty Shaw and Minnie Savannah.

Services will be at noon Sunday at St. Mark M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery in Learned.

Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Saturday at Lakeover Funeral Home in Jackson.

SELIA MAE CLAVELLE KEYS

Services for Selia Mae Clavelle Keys will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Keys died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, in Vicksburg. She was 60.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Clavelle and Mary Lee Toven; and her brother, Roy Clavelle.

Survivors include 10 sons, Michael Watson, Mark Watson, Daniel Watson and Johnny Watson, all of Dallas, and Riley Watson, Lorenzo Watson, Larry Keys, Darrolle Keys, Willie Watson and Alexander Watson, all of Garland, Texas; four daughters, Glory Regan and Linda Watson, both of Vicksburg, and Gloria Young and Mary Watson, both of Garland; her brother, Lester Clavelle Sr. of Dallas; two sisters, Julia Mae Jones of Garland and Ida Mae Eastman of Dallas; 29 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives, including members of the Clavelle, Lewis, Rader and Regan families of Vicksburg.
