[01/16/01] Three of the top high school recruits in the state have verbally committed to Ole Miss.

Madison Central running back Bobo Brown (5-foot-11, 220 pounds), receiver Mike Espy (6-0, 180) and offensive lineman Chris Spencer (6-4, 315) will suit up for the Rebels this fall, according to The Clarion-Ledger.

The three helped Madison Central win the Class 5A state championship in 1999.

The Rebels finished 7-5 with a loss in the Music City Bowl, their fourth straight bowl trip.

Verbal commitments are non-binding.

Recruits can sign national letters-of-intent Feb. 7.
