Homer D. Neal died Friday, April 6, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 57.

Mr. Neal was a native of Rosedale and had lived in Vicksburg most of his life. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Homer E. and Virginia Neal.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. Saturday until the service at the funeral home.

ISIAH THOMPSON JR.

EDWARDS Isiah Thompson Jr. died Monday, April 2, 2001, at Central Mississippi Medical Center. He was 72.

Mr. Thompson was born in Hinds County. He was a member of Sand Hill M.B. Church where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linnie B. Thompson; his parents, Floretta Hopkins-Thompson and Isiah Thompson Sr.; a sister, Verlean Thompson-Davis; and a brother, Clifton Thompson.

He is survived by his wife Louis McFarland of Bolton; five daughters, Jerlean Barker and Shirley Donnell, both of Jackson, Verlean Coleman of Pittsburg, Calif., Sarah Thompson of Bolton and Delores Davis of Pearl; four sons, Kirkelon Thompson and Isiah Thompson III, both of Bolton, John Thompson of Yazoo City, and Timothy Thompson of Jackson; two sisters, Evelyn Fuller of Pittsburg and Mary McKinley of Bolton, a brother, Kirkelon Thompson of Pittsburg; 28 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sandhill M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday at Lakeover Funeral Home in Jackson.

JOSEPH L. WARNER

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. Joseph L. Warner died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Firsthealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. He was 81.

Mr. Warner was born in Hartsville, S.C. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and in the Navy for four years. He retired from Seaboard Coastline Railroad after 31 years of service. He was a member of Roberdel United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Covington Warner; a daughter, Mary Warner Slades; two brothers, Arthur Warner and Arlie Warner; and two sisters, Genolia Rattliff and Viola W. Farmer.

He is survived by a son, Joseph Lee Warner Jr. of Mint Hill, N.C.; a daughter, Vivian Warner Huff of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Roberdel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eugene “Bud” Jenness officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
