MARTHA PARKER CANTRELL
Martha Parker Cantrell died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at River Region Medical Center West. She was 72.
Mrs. Cantrell was a native of Clay, La., a former resident of Sibley, La., and a resident of Vicksburg since 1967.
She was a member of Bovina Baptist Church and the Ladies II Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Earl and Florence Cooper Parker; and her husband, C.F. Cantrell Jr.
She is survived by one son, Dennis A. Cantrell of Lake Charles, La.; two daughters, Teri Cantrell Lewis of Convington, La., and Bonnie E. Cantrell of Vicksburg; three brothers, J.R. Parker of Malvern, Ark., Gaylen Parker of Arcadia, La., and Nody Parker; two sisters, Katherine P. McDonald of Texarkana, Ark., and Ernestine DeMarco of Blue Bell, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Chip Starnes of Bovina Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Lane Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Fisher-Riles from 3 to 5 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be Dr. William Wooten, Dr. Joe Ross, James Gandy, Al Hoxie, Dr. Thomas Sligh, Gerald Cantrell, Jeff Gandy, Dr. Daniel P. Edney, Jackie Gandy and Joe Gandy.
FRANCIS MARION LOGUE III
Francis Marion “Frank” Logue III died Friday, June 7, 2002 at River Region Medical Center. He was 78.
Mr. Logue was a Vicksburg native. He was a 1942 graduate of St. Aloysius High School. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, fighting in the Pacific and serving with distinction in the Mariana Islands Campaign. He was employed by Spencer Chemical Company, Gulf Oil and for 21 years as shipping supervisor at Quaker State Oil.
Mr. Logue was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Vicksburg Theatre Guild, serving as president from 1975 until 1976. He was the volunteer team scout for St. Aloysius High School football team for 58 years.
Mr. Logue was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie M. Logue O’Keefe; and his father, Francis Marion Logue II.
He is survived by his wife Joy Logue; two sons, Omar and Kahlil Logue, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Frances Logue of Austin, Texas; one brother, John Logue of Louisiana; nieces and a nephew.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Boykin of St. Mary Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Monday with Knights of Columbus prayers at 10:30 a.m. A mercy meal will be at St. George Orthodox Church following the services.
Pallbearers will be Mike Franco, Jimmy Salmon, Charles Huston, Omar Logue, Joe Durst and Robert King.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Thomas, Margaret Balzi Rula, Bubba Evans, James Canizaro, Johnny Collins, Becky Caruthers, Lois Vinson, Tom Balzi, Mary Frances Daughtery and alumni of St. Aloysius football teams.
ROBERT EARL MORRIS
PIONEER, La. Robert Earl Morris died Friday, June 7, 2002, at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi. He was 75.
Mr. Morris was born in Richland Parish and lived in Pioneer.
He attended Pioneer Baptist Church and worked as a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul Thomas and Mamie Winfred Morris; two brothers, Tom Morris and Doc Morris; and his sister, Maybell Hampton.
Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Ruth Morris of Pioneer; one son, Phillip E. Morris of Pioneer; one daughter, Wanda Whatley of Pioneer; three brothers, Vernon Morris of Baskin, La., Walter “Doodle” Morris of Delhi and J. B. Morris of Shreveport; one sister, Elsie Troy of Buena Park, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Cox Chapel-Oak Grove with the Rev. Buck Curry officiating. Burial will be at New Forest Cemetery in Forest, La.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Wait, Joey Whatley, Bobby Morgan, Fred Copes, Johnny Ragus and Mack Albritton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Vining, Carl Hines, Jimmy Ward, Clyde Hart, Dennis Waller and Tommy Lofton.
