MARTHA ERLENE HALTERMAN

Martha Erlene Halterman died Saturday, May 4, 2002, at her home. She was 65.

Mrs. Halterman was a native of Sunflower County and graduated from Humphreys County High School. She attended Hinds Junior College and worked as a registered nurse at Kuhn Memorial Hospital for 17 years. She retired in 1987 after four years at Vicksburg Medical Center.

She was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church, the VFW, American Legion and MOCA Auxiliary Ladies.

Mrs. Halterman was preceded in death by her father, Teate M. Wilkerson; two brothers, Dwight “Skippy” Wilkerson and Charles Wilkerson; and a sister, Evelyn Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Halterman of Vicksburg; her mother, Claudis Brown of Vicksburg; two daughters, Beth Tennant of Vicksburg and Jeanie Conrad of Albany, Ore.; two sons, Jimmy Guimbellot of Vicksburg and Allen Guimbellot of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three stepsons, Bill Halterman of Vicksburg and Randy Halterman and Del Halterman, both of Iowa; one stepdaughter, Joyce Doak of Warrior, Ala.; a sister, Janie Johnson of Vicksburg; a brother, James Wilkerson of Irving, Texas; and 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Allen Guimbellot, LeRoy Carter, Donald Carter, Ronnie Carter, Todd Huskey and Bill Halterman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Blakney and Bill Stokes.

WILLIAM CLOY McCULLOUGH JR.

BROOKHAVEN William Cloy McCullough Jr. died Sunday, May 5, 2002, at his home in Brookhaven. He was 79.

Born in Pike County, Mr. McCullough was a retired truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cloy McCullough Sr. and Grace Hayes McCullough.

Survivors include his wife, Earline Butler McCullough of Brookhaven; two sons, Robert H. “Mud Grip” McCullough of Vicksburg and G.W. McCullough of Brookhaven; two daughters, Mavis Fleming of Jackson and Debby Bourn of Brookhaven; one sister, Dorothy Kerr of Claremont, Calif.; nieces; a nephew; and 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.
