MARY CATHERINE EDERINGTON

WARREN, Ark. Mary Catherine Ederington died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Fountains of Canterbury Nursing Facility in Oklahoma City. She was 89.

A longtime resident of Warren, Ark., Mrs. Ederington had been living in Oklahoma City for a number of years. She was a former school teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Warren where she served on the Youth Directory Board and taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Methodist Women’s Society of Christian Service where she was a former local and district president. She was a member of the district conference board and a delegate to the Quadrennial Conference.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Wilson Ederington; her brother, Dr. John Andrew Bayliss; and her parents, John Andrew Bayliss and Emily Lucille Bulgin Bayliss.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. John Bayliss Ederington of Eagle Lake, Miss., and Dr. Louis Havis Ederington of Norman, Okla.; four grandchildren, Beth Ederington of St. Petersburg, Fla., Charles Dixon Ederington of Vicksburg, Louis Benjamin Ederington of Houston, Texas and William Joshua Ederington of Coral Gables, Fla.; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Warren with the Rev. Siegfried Johnson officiating.

Visitation will follow the service in the church parlor.

LEONARD R. HARRIS

Leonard R. Harris died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 65.

Born in Lauder, Ky., Mr. Harris had been a Vicksburg resident for the past three years. He was a retired farmer and attended First United Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Vanessa H. Harris of Vicksburg; one son, Leonard R. Harris Jr. of Vicksburg; one daughter, Carolyn Harris of Vicksburg; two brothers, Luther Riley of Evanston, Ill., and Kenneth Earl Neal of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two sisters, Joyce Ann Neal of Galesburg, Ill., and Gracie Bradey of Oklahoma City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. D.W. Tipton officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until the service at the funeral home.
