[07/23/02]A pair of former Warren Central pitchers are making waves this summer.

Taylor Tankersley earned a spot on the Cape Cod League’s Eastern Division all-star team, which will play on Thursday night.

Tankersley, who recently finished his freshman season at Alabama, is 4-1 with a 1.80 ERA in 30 innings for the Brewster Whitecaps.

Shea Douglas, a draft choice by the Cleveland Indians, has yet to give up an earned run in 11 innings for the Burlington (N.C.) Indians of the Appalachian League.

Douglas has 11 strikeouts and opponents are hitting .125 against him.
