FRANK GREY
Frank Grey died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 66.
He was born in Holly Bluff and had lived in Vicksburg for 50 years. He owned and operated Manufactured Housing Inc. He had been a pipefitter with the maintenance department of International Paper Co. and was employed with Westinghouse Lighting. He was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, of which he was former governor; the Grand Lodge of Mississippi F&AM Hyland Lodge No. 0113, where he was a Master Mason; Plumbers and Pipefitters Local No. 619; Deer Park Hunting Club; Sunflower Hunting Club; Wahabi Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Jackson; Grand York Rite Bodies of Mississippi; Magnolia Commander No. 2; and the Shriners.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ferguson Grey of Vicksburg; one son, Gary Grey of Vicksburg; one daughter, Sharon G. Mordecai of Hazel Green, Ala.; four brothers, R.V. Grey, Leonard Grey, George Grey and Billy Ray Grey, all of Vicksburg; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Haggard and the Rev. Sidney Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 until 5 this afternoon.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wayside Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Harvey Landers, Jimmy Stanford, Herbert Lowery, James “Buddy” Shiers Jr., Jack Sturgis and Bobby McRaney.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the fellowship degree and board of officers of the Loyal Order of Moose.
W. WILSON ELLIS
GULFPORT W. Wilson Ellis died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in Gulfport. He was 83.
Mr. Ellis was a native of Port Gibson and a graduate of Chamberlain-Hunt Military Academy. He also graduated from the University of Mississippi and the University of Alabama, and did graduate work at Mississippi State University.
Mr. Ellis taught at the University of Alabama, the University of Southern Mississippi, Loyola University in New Orleans, Southern University in New Orleans, Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans and at junior colleges.
He served in the Army during World War II and worked as a management analyst with the Small Business Administration in New Orleans. He was a past state director of the Service Corps of Retired Executives and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Brien T. Ellis; his parents, James and Lula Ellis; two sisters, Victoria Thomas and Rosalie Abraham; and a brother, Norman Ellis.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellis of Gulfport; three sons, Jim Ellis of Gulfport, Dr. George H. Ellis and
Wilson N. Ellis, both of Jackson; one daughter, Dr. Mary Anne Raymond of Clemson, S.C.; one sister, Mildred Nasif of Port Gibson, nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.
Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson from 12:30 p.m. until the service.

MONROE B. SAVAGE SR.
TUPELO Monroe B. Savage Sr. died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was 85.
Mr. Savage was born in Itawamba County and lived in Guntown most of his life. He was a journeyman electrician and a 60-year member of I.B.E.W. Union No. 582.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and the Guntown Lions Club. He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Pacific Theater in World War II. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by one daughter, Pamela S. Scott of Vicksburg; and one son, Joe Savage of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors in Tupelo. Burial will follow at Priceville Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 until 7 tonight.
MAUD S. HARGE
Services for Maud S. Harge will be at noon Monday at New Rock of Ages M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Harge died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 99.
Born in Valley Park, Mrs. Harge was a member of Rock of Ages M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Harge; a son, Lonnie Harge; three brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Joe Harge of Savannah, Ga.; her granddaughter, Stephanie Stewart of Vicksburg; and other relatives, including Tammy Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla., LaTonya Blalock of Columbus, Ga., and Shirley Peaches, Willie Lee Bailey and Katheryn Brown, all of Vicksburg.

LAWRENCE OSWALT SOUTHWICK
DELHI, La. Lawrence Oswalt Southwick died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Richland Manor Nursing Home. He was 79.
Mr. Southwick was born in Rockville, Conn., and was retired as a purchasing manager in the insurance industry in Hartford, Conn. He served with the U.S. Army Eighth Armored Division in World War II.
He was a member of Fondren Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
Mr. Southwick is survived by one daughter, the Rev. Lauren S. Moore of Tallulah.
Services will be Saturday at Fondren Presbyterian Church in Jackson. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Rockville.
Visitation will be at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah from 5 until 7 Monday.
PAULINE HENSLEY SMITH
Pauline Hensley Smith died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 83.
Mrs. Hensley was born in Tennessee and lived most of her life in Vicksburg. She worked for Westinghouse for 18 years and operated Smith Grocery for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she had taught the Dolly Barnes Sunday School Class since 1969.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Hensley; her mother, Lockie Hensley; her husband, Dan Smith, in 1999; one son, Thomas Smith Jr., in 1978; two brothers; three sisters; and a son-in-law.
She is survived by two daughters, Margie Hinson and Pat Simpson, both of Vicksburg; a son, Glen Smith of St. Joseph; a sister, Nell Greenup of Bradford, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 until 5 this afternoon.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Warriors Trail, Vicksburg, MS, 39180.
Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Larry Smith, Melvin Hansin, Keith Smith, David Smith, Trey Smith, Brandon Smith and John David Cooper.
