EVA MARIE BOGUE

MEMPHIS Eva Marie Bogue died Friday, July 26, 2002, at Methodist Hospital of Germantown. She was 93.

Bogue was a homemaker and a member of Covington Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Bogue was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. William Bogue.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine Haveev of Vicksburg and Wanda Bogue of Memphis; one son, Robert Bogue of Memphis; four grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Chapel-Midtown. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Covington Presbyterian Church.

DOVIE K. CULLUM

NEWELLTON Dovie K. Cullum died Friday, July 26, 2002, at the Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. She was 94.

Mrs. Cullum was born in Strong, Ark. She attended teacher’s training school and received her teacher’s license.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Newellton and a charter member of the Young at Heart Club. She was an avid gardener.

Mrs. Cullum was preceded in death by her husband, O.O. (Tom) Cullum; her parents, Charles Conrad and Clemmie Raimey King; one sister, Nora King; and one brother, Aubrey King.

She is survived by three sons, Olen Cullum of Bowie, Texas; Billy Cullum of Monroe, La., and Richard Cullum of Vidalia, La.; four daughters, Lenora Prather and Sylvia Cooper, both of Newellton, Patricia Hankins of Mangham, La., and Phyllis Robinson of Monroe; two brothers, Preston King of Smackover, Ark., and Bill King of Sequin, Texas; two sisters, Elvie Kemp and Madeline Harrison, both of Strong; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Newellton with the Rev. Fulton McGraw and Bro. Todd Sumrall officiating. Burial will follow at the Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton.

Visitation will be at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah from 4 until 7 p.m. today.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Research Center in Memphis.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

THELMA G. FEDELL

Thelma G. Fedell died Saturday, July 27, 2002, at her residence in Vicksburg. She was 75.

Mrs. Fedell was born in Vicksburg and worked as a registered nurse for the Vicksburg Medical Center until she retired in 1977. She was a member of St. George Orthodox Chruch.

Mrs. Fedell was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Fedell; her parents, James Warner and Gertrude J. Showah; and one brother, Mike Showah.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Liggett of Vicksburg and Cynthia Dickson of Memphis; two brothers, George Showah of Atlanta, Ga., and Joe Showah of Jackson; three sisters, Faye Shepherd of Hendersonville, Tenn., Melba Bowman of Jackson and Linda Grace of Salt Lake City, Utah; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Fisher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

MOSE L. JAMES SR.

Mose L. James Sr. died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, Texas. He was 90.

Mr. James retired from Baytex Construction in Houston, Texas. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia R. James; his mother, Janie James; his father, Henry James; his stepmother, Leola Jones; a sister, Katie James; and a daughter, Ruby L. James.

Survivors include four sons, Mose L. James Jr. of Carson, Calif., Henry James of Los Angeles, and Eugene James and Charlie James, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Amy Crockett and Emma Sims, both of Vicksburg; and 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
