MYRTLE ALBERT
Myrtle Albert died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 55.
Ms. Albert was a retired dietary supervisor for ParkView Regional Medical Center and a member of New Mount Zion M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Williams and Humilla Williams; and a sister, Lucinda Williams.
Survivors include three sons, Gregory Williams of Richmond, Va., and John Albert Jr. and Christopher Albert, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Patricia Albert and Ria Williams, both of Vicksburg; her stepmother, Bertha Williams; two sisters, Diana Calmese of Oakland, Calif., and Johnnie Cogwell of Mount Clemens, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
JAMES PATRICK DONOVAN
Services for James Patrick “Pat” Donovan will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Boykins, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 7 at the funeral home. Rosary will be at 6:30.
Mr. Donovan died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 59.
Mr. Donovan was a native of Vicksburg and a graduate of St. Aloysius High School. He was an electrical designer for Poley Flow Engineers in California for 20 years before retiring in 1995. He moved back to Vicksburg and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Idell Hall Donovan.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Patsy” Allen Donovan of Vicksburg; a son, Christopher Joseph Donovan Sr. of Vicksburg; a daughter, Amber “Lee” Donovan of Vicksburg; three brothers, William “Bill” Donovan Jr. of Woodland, Texas, Michael “Mike” Donovan of Vicksburg and Frank Donovan of Mobile, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Boue, Michael Allen, Rodney Allen, Shane Walker, Tommy Caruthers Jr., Bill Allen, Joseph Harrison and Albert Long.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Edward Addo, Richard Salassi and Joseph Bonelli.
JAMIE EARL HUNT
OAK GROVE Jamie Earl Hunt died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. He was 53.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jamie Welton Hunt; two brothers, Terry Gwen Hunt and Billy Gene Hunt; and a sister, Elizabeth Darlene Hunt.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hunt; a son, Jamie Todd Hunt of Evanston, Wyo.; a daughter, Amber Sloane of Evanston; a grandson, Haiden Sloane, of Evanston; his mother, Perlene Allen of Oak Grove; two brothers, Larry Dale Hunt of Lawton, Okla., and Tim Hunt of Baton Rouge; and three sisters, Linda Carothers of Lonoke, Ark., and Shirley Bordelon and Brenda Dobbs, both of Eudora, Ark.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Jimbo Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Red Wing Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
BILLY JOSEPH WRIGHT SR.
Billy Joseph Wright Sr. died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson. He was 69.
Mr. Wright began a career with the Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, and Hydraulics Branch in 1954. He transferred to the Vicksburg District in 1975 and served as chief of management and disposal, Real Estate Division, before moving to the Headquarters USACE in Huntsville, Ala. He received many outstanding service awards throughout his 41-year career.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph L. and Evelyn Holmes Wright; and a daughter, Debbie Marie Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Leatherwood Wright; a daughter, Dianah Barganier of Millington, Tenn.; a son, Billy Wright Jr. of Millington; two stepsons, Keith Gilliam of Memphis and Kevin Gilliam of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Kellye Copes of Vicksburg and Kathy Dye of Clinton; a brother, John Lee Wright of Memphis; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the service Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Keith Gilliam, Kevin Gilliam, Ryan Gilliam, Currye Meeks, Lynn Leatherwood, Denton Stokes, Bill Dye and Drew Gilliam. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Wilson Parry, Billy Wright Jr., Leslie Barganier, Fant Fauncher and Billy Curtis.
