TYWAYNE CROSKEY

Funeral services for Tywayne Croskey will be at 4 p.m., Tuesday at Christian Chapel Church in Port Gibson with Elder T.E. Harris officiating. Burial will be at Carbondale Cemetery in the Westside Community with Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson in charge. No public visitation is planned but a register book will be available.

Mr. Croskey died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Mississippi Firefighters Memorial Burn Center in Greenville. He was 24.

He is survived by his daughter, Tyeisha Croskey of Fayette; his parents, Samuel Croskey of New York and Gloria Eaddy-Croskey of Port Gibson; his maternal grandmother, Irene Eaddy of Port Gibson; his maternal great-grandmother, Eunice Strong of Timmonsville, S.C.; his brother, Priest Croskey of Port Gibson; three sisters, Tywana Croskey, LaToya Robinson and Shawntay Rogers, all of Port Gibson; nephews, aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, and other relatives and friends, including his godmother, Joyce Irish of Bronx, N.Y.; and Janice Miller of Fayette.

RUTH ANN O’NEAL

PORT GIBSON A Mass of the Resurrection will be said for Ruth Ann O’Neal at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Gibson with Monsignor Thad Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Harriston. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Mrs. O’Neal died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 99.

Mrs. O’Neal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence O’Neal; two sons, Charles O’Neal and Avery O’Neal; two stepsons, First O’Neal and Leon O’Neal; and her stepdaughter and caregiver for many years, Bernice Houston.

She is survived by four great-grandsons, Johnnie Wyatt, Andre Wyatt, Leonard Wilson Jr. and Dwayne Thomas, all of Port Gibson; two great-granddaughters, Gail Houston and Carla Houston, both of Port Gibson; 24 great-great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including the Brinkley family of Fayette, Harriston and Lorman and Travis Kelly of Vicksburg.
