Rolling across the nation for a cause

Stacy Olsen-Butler, 33, rollerblades his way up the Halls Ferry Road exit off Interstate 20 Tuesday to rest for the night in Vicksburg. Olsen-Butler said he is rollerblading from San Diego, Calif., to Daytona Beach, Fla., to raise awareness and gain support for his nephew, Kaiden Anderson, who has neuroblastoma cancer. Olsen-Butler said he is on his third pair of rollerblades and drinks about two gallons of water a day. Vicksburg Police Lt. Walter Beamon and Officer Rick Jordan gave Olsen-Butler an escort to the exit from the Interstate 20 bridge over the Mississippi River after learning of his cause. Olsen-Butler said he hopes to be in Florida by the end of June. More information on the disease and Olsen-Butler’s cause can be found online at coast2coast4kaiden.i8.com.
