ANNIE MAE BARNES CASTON
EDWARDS Annie Mae Barnes Caston died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at Mississippi Firefighters Memorial Burn Center in Greenville. She was 53.
Mrs. Caston was preceded in death by her parents, Leodie Barnes Sr. and Mae Bell Barnes.
She is survived by A.C. McKenzie Jr. of Edwards; three sons, Myron Caston and Byron Caston, both of Edwards, and Christopher Caston of Vicksburg; two daughters, Charlotte Barnes of Jackson and Natasha Caston of Edwards; two brothers, Leodie Barnes Jr. of Edwards and Willie Barnes of Gary, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Friendship M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at New Hope Church Cemetery in Raymond.
Visitation will be from 1 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeview Funeral Home in Vicksburg.
RAMONA N. HODNETT
Ramona N. Hodnett died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at her home. She was 45.
Mrs. Hodnett was born in Tallulah and had lived in Vicksburg for the past 20 years. She was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and attended Mississippi College, where she received a teaching degree. She worked as a teacher for the Vicksburg Warren County Schools. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Nolan; a brother, John Nolan; and her grandmother, Effie Wilson.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Hodnett of Vicksburg; two sons, Ben Hodnett and Adam Hodnett, both of Vicksburg; a daughter, Keri Hodnett of Vicksburg; her mother, Ramona Nolan Scott of Tallulah; one brother, Ramon Nolan of Jackson; and two sisters, Susan Keyes and Sandi Watkins, both of Tallulah.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Revs. Brian Ivey and John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Watkins, Edgar Keyes, Ben Hodnett, Adam Hodnett, Doug Wigley and Tony Hodnett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Hodnett and the Rev. Alton Hodnett.
BEULAH FLORENCE PURVIS TANNEHILL
OAK GROVE Beulah Florence Purvis Tannehill died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. She was 98.
Mrs. Tannehill was born in Kilbourne, La., and had lived in Oak Grove for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Tannehill, and her parents, Joe and Florence Elizabeth Purvis.
Survivors include two sons, Luther O. Tannehill of San Antonio and Edwin M. Tannehill of Walker, La.; two daughters, Alice Marie Allen of Lake Providence and Dr. Katheryn L. Thornton of Fresno, Calif.; one brother, Cecil Purvis of Kilbourne; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove with Murray Tannehill and the Rev. Otha Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
