JOSEPH T. BINGHAM SR.
Services for Joseph T. Bingham Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bingham Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Zollinger Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church.
Mr. Bingham died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was 84.
A resident of Vicksburg and a retired general contractor, Mr. Bingham was a member of Paragon Lodge No. 7 F&AM, Tyner Ford Post No. 213 American Legion, Masons Ministers Allowance and a former pastor of Bingham Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge R. Bingham Sr. and Julia Edmond Bingham; three brothers, Lemuel Bingham, Judge Robert Bingham Jr. and Jeremiah Bingham; and three sisters, Alma Robinson, Frances O. Bingham and Harriet Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys G. Bingham of Vicksburg; a son, Joseph T. Bingham Jr. of Vicksburg; a daughter, JoAnna Jones of Bridgewood, Va.; three brothers, George W. Bingham Sr. of Grenada, Haskell S. Bingham of Petersburg, Va., and Louis C. Bingham of Como, Miss.; three sisters, Priscilla Bingham Spencer and Roberta B. Kennedy, both of Vicksburg, and Julia B. Thomas of Greenville; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
JOHNNY RAY BROWN
OAK GROVE Johnny Ray Brown died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La. He was 61. Mr. Brown was a resident of Oak Grove.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Ann Brown of Oak Grove; and a son, Michael Kindrix of Oak Grove.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Fred Hale officiating. Burial will follow at New Forest Cemetery in Forest, La.
Visitation will be until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dion Auger, Jack Davis, Johnny Taylor, Jason Taylor, Tony Pritchard and Willie Howard.
EMMA LEE CHAMBLISS
FAYETTE Emma Lee Chambliss died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 64.
A homemaker, Mrs. Chambliss was a native of Jefferson County. She was a member of Hollywood M.B. Church, where she was a church mother, choir member and in the Women’s Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Katherine Trimble Chambliss; two brothers, Robert and Charles Chambliss; and two sisters, Estella and Elouise Tenner.
She is survived by five sons, Lonzel Chambliss of Jackson, Larry Chambliss of Vicksburg and Dennis Coleman, Frederick Chambliss and Leroy Chambliss, all of Fayette; two daughters, Gloria Chambliss of Jackson and Pamela Woods of Natchez; four sisters, Willie Mae Primous of Florida, Exelena Martin of Vicksburg, Helen Reed of Fayette and Bessie Cleveland of Jackson; 19 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including Leroy Jackson of Fayette.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hollywood M.B. Church in Fayette with the Rev. E.E. Colenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Fayette.
Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Rollins Chapel in Fayette.
CLARENCE HUBAND
Services for Clarence Huband will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s M.B. Church in Utica with the Rev. Charles Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home.
Visitation will be all day Friday in the funeral home chapel and from 11:30 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church.
Mr. Huband died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 87.
Mr. Huband was a resident of Vicksburg and a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include a brother, Jessie Huband of Vicksburg; a niece, Mary Dotson of Vicksburg; and other relatives.
