Florine Hearn Passons

YAZOO CITY Florine Hearn Passons died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 84.
Mrs. Passons was born in Yazoo County to Mildred Selby and Frank Hancock. She was a member of Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church in Yazoo City. She retired as a food service manager for the Vicksburg Warren School District.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herman Hearn and Jessie D. Passons.
Survivors include three daughters, Florence Newman of Valley Park, Hermanell Barnett of Ocean Springs and Pat Dye of Starkville; three stepsons, Delma Passons of Houston, Texas, Jessie Passons of Reno, Nev., and Tim Passons of Sinton, Texas; two sisters, Doris Burrough of Vicksburg and Jimmie Mae Johnson of Bentonia; and four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Stricklin-King Funeral home in Yazoo City. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church.
Theodore R. Relaford
PIONEER, La. Theodore R. Relaford died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at Glenwood Medical Center. He was 84.
Mr. Relaford was born in Bodcaw, Ark., and was a resident of Pioneer, La.
He was preceded in death by his father, Haney Relaford, and his mother, Sally Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Relaford of Pioneer; two sons, Dennis Relaford of Bastrop, La., and Keith Relaford of Star City, Ark.; one daughter, Regina Mashaw of Sallisaw, Okla.; one brother, Hoyte Stewart of Lewisville, Ark.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pioneer Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Duchesne and Dr. John Traylor officiating. Burial will follow at New Forest Cemetery in Forest, La.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 tonight at Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Luke Rye, Steve Rye, Dobbin Plunkett, Earl Bankston, Herman Wood and Steve Henderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Jones, Winford Hammett and Joe Whatley.
Ella M. Tolliver
Ella M. Tolliver died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 90.
Mrs. Tolliver was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. Tolliver; four brothers, Curtis Copeland, Hezikiah Copeland, Gonzales Copeland and DeGoire Copeland; and five sisters, Helen Wise Smith, Alease Harris, Ernesstine Griffin, Odeal Joseph Moore and Agatha Williams.
Survivors include her brother, Burbridge R. Copeland of Canton, Ohio; two nieces, Iver Rhodman of Vicksburg and Virginia Wolf of Saginaw, Mich.; her caregiver, Cecilia Cole of Vicksburg; and friends and other relatives, including Edward Clark of Jackson.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
