Emile Hamberlin

FAYETTE Emile Hamberlin died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, at Natchez Regional Hospital. He was 100.

Mr. Hamberlin, a retired farmer and a former Mason, was a deacon and was treasurer at Rose Hill Baptist Church No. 2.

He was predeceased by his parents, Willie and Daisy White Hamberlin; one brother; and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Douglass Hamberlin of Fayette; five sons, McKinley Hamberlin and Emile Hamberlin, both of Chicago, and James Hamberlin, Herman Hamberlin and Lavern Hamberlin, all of Fayette; two daughters, Jacqueline Brownslow of Chicago and Shelia Horace of Fayette; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Baptist Church No. 2 on Mississippi 553 in Fayette with the Rev. James Beverly officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette on Tuesday from noon until 7 p.m.
