Nina Elizabeth Box Troutt

SENATOBIA Nina Elizabeth Box Troutt died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. She was 72.

Mrs. Troutt was a retired Avon manager and was a resident of Senatobia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Troutt Sr.

She is survived by a daughter, Ester Elizabeth Banks of Vicksburg; a son, Billy Troutt of Lake Village, Ark.; her sister, Helen Box Peters of Charleston, Miss.; her brother, Buddy Box of Cleveland, Miss.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Newsom Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Oakland.

Myra Ervin Willis

Myra Ervin Willis died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 55.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Willis was a graduate of Culkin Academy and Warren Central High School. She attended Hinds Junior College. She worked as a secretary for the U.S. Government at Waterways Experiment Station for more than 25 years.

She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, where she was in the Sanctuary Sunday school class and Senior Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Sr. and Nettie Watts Ervin.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Willis of Vicksburg; one daughter, Pamela Ann Ryals of Brookhaven; one son, Edward Willis of Vicksburg; two sisters, Martha Taylor and Julie Ervin, both of Vicksburg; two brothers, Sidney Ervin Jr. of Vicksburg and Malcolm Ervin of Bossier City, La.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Baptist Church with the Revs. Kent Campbell and Gerald Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Riles Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Mike Briggs, Bill Seabergh, Dr. Jeff Melby, Dr. Don Ward, Dr. Lynn Hales, Raymond Reed and Steve Hughes.

Honorary will be Debbie Fulcher, Donald Davidson, Karen Wood, Mary Hanes Watson, Holly Messing, Debbie Wallace, Dennis Moore, Bill Park and Dr. Paul Pierce III.
