[11/19/03]Andrea Harrison isn’t wasting any time in making an impression on the Mississippi soccer scene, and neither is St. Aloysius.

Harrison scored four goals for her third hat trick in five games, and St. Al (3-2) notched its third win of the season with a 5-0 shutout of Natchez Cathedral on Tuesday.

It was the second four-goal game for Harrison, who has 11 goals in the Lady Flashes’ three wins this season.

Krista McCollum also scored a goal against Cathedral, and Lindsey Slawson, Haley Davis and Jenny Hoeg each had an assist. Rebecca Sigh and Lindsay Hall combined for the shutout in goal.

The Lady Flashes’ two losses have come against strong teams from Northwest Rankin and Florence, and there is another tough game looming next Tuesday with Brandon. St. Al coach Karen Carroll said the competition is making the Lady Flashes better, however.

“I’m really glad we went out of the gate playing a tougher schedule, because playing three games in five days they’ve started doing a lot of the things they need to do. Talking to each other, things like the Northwest Rankins and the Brandons and the Vicksburgs do,” Carroll said.

(B) St. Al 3, Cathedral 0

Michael Head scored all three goals as St. Al (2-3) overcame a 15-minute lightning delay and Cathedral.

Heath Carroll and Bray Jones each had an assist for St. Al, which outshot Cathedral 16-3. Adam Fulcher had the shutout in goal.
