Sabrina Davis

Sabrina Davis, formerly of Vicksburg. died June 29, 2003, in Houston, Texas. She was 25.

Miss Davis attended Community of Faith Baptist church in Houston.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roosevelt Smith.

She is survived by her mother, Jacquelyn Vickers of Albuquerque, N.M.; five brothers, Michael Davis and Fernando Valentine, both of Houston, Carlton Davis of Miami, DeAndrea Valentine of California and Terrance Davis of Vicksburg; five sisters, Monica Valentine of California and LaShanda Smith, Dewyona Butler, Bridgette King and Helen Judge, all of Vicksburg; her maternal grandparents, Sherman and Hattie Jackson of Richmond, Calif.; and aunts, uncles and other relatives, including Paul Garrett and members of the Washington and Burns families of Vicksburg.

Maxie Stacy Duncan

GILMER, Texas Maxie Stacy Duncan died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas. She was 90.

A native of Alexandria, La., Mrs. Duncan lived most of her life in Vicksburg before moving to Gilmer, Texas. She attended Mississippi School for the Deaf, was a homemaker and a member of Rose Heights Church in Longview.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elsie Salters and Marvin Duncan.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Tina Clemens of Sachse, Texas, Tommy Allison of Shreveport, La., and Tammy Richardson of Harleton, Texas; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Green Acres Memorial Park with the Rev. J.E. Elliott officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Jason Clemens, Tommy Allison Jr., Shane Hensley and Mike Bolding.

Leola Reed

BROOKHAVEN Leola Reed died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Haven Hall Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was 84.

Born in Claiborne County, Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and former telephone operator. She was a member of the Red Star Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest S. and Lula Leola Moody Knight; her husband, Ivan Reed; one brother, Mack Knight; and two sisters, Frances Freeman and Ruby Pickett.

She is survived by a daughter, Sue Ferguson of Brookhaven; three brothers, John Knight of Vicksburg, Bill Knight of Louisiana and James Knight of Georgia; one sister, Gladys Thornton of Vicksburg; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Red Star Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Patricia Antionette Trotter

OCEAN SPRINGS Patricia Antionette Trotter died Thursday, July 3, 2003, in Ocean Springs. She was 38.

Born in Biloxi, Miss Trotter had lived in Ocean Springs for the past seven years. She was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church and served in the Army.

She received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Alcorn State University, where she was a member of Zeta Phi Beta sorority. She taught science at Moss Point School and also served as an instructor at Vancleave High School.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy C. Trotter.

Survivors include her parents, the Rev. Jesse L. Sr. and Senora Lucille Trotter of Ocean Springs; three brothers, Jesse Trotter Jr. of Vicksburg, Dr. Melvin Trotter of Baton Rouge and Dr. Marvin Trotter of Prairieville, La.; three sisters, Barbara Idlette of Lithonia, Ga., Valeria Lomax of Vicksburg and Jacquelyn Thomas of Covington, Ga.; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends, including Rose Mary Allen of Biloxi.

Services will be at noon Wednesday at Macedonia M.B. Church in Ocean Springs with the Revs. Lawrence Collin Sr. and Kenneth Haynes officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Biloxi.

Visitation will be from 10 until 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
