Harold A. Hearn

Harold A. Hearn died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Trace Haven Nursing Home. He was 87.
A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Hearn was the son of the late Acie Henry and Maggie Cockrell Hearn. He worked for Homes Oil Co. for 15 years as a truck driver.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Hearn James.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Worrell Hearn of Vicksburg; a brother, Hubert Hearn of Vicksburg; four sisters, Dollie Mae Taylor of Gulfport and Margaret Cockrell, Mary Frances Ousley and Annie Maud Robinson, all of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday until the service at Fisher Funeral Home.
Elizabeth M. See
TALLULAH Elizabeth M. See died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at her home. She was 79.
Born in Ranger, Texas, Mrs. See had lived in New York and California before moving to Tallulah 15 years ago. She was a retired supervisor in the bookbinding industry and a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Mae Matthews of Tallulah; five sons, Vincent James Corulla Sr. of Vicksburg, Ronnie Jo Miller, Carl Adolph Miller Jr. and Joseph Rudolph Miller, all of Binghamton, N.Y., and Jerry Edward Miller of Chenago Forks, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. today at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Ferre De’Cruz officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.
Pallbearers were Vince Corulla Jr., Nathaniel Matthews II, Jim Forrester, Pat Bullard, Ron Pownall Jr. and Nathaniel Matthews.
Chatman Shoulders Sr.
CARLISLEM Chatman Shoulders Sr. died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Claiborne County Hospital. He was 88.
Mr. Shoulders was a member and deacon at Jones Chapel Church in Carlisle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie M. Shorter-Shoulders; a daughter, Fannie L. Shoulders; his parents, Emmanuel and Elizabeth Bridges Wright; three sisters, Harriet Bradley, Mary Washington and Alma Washington; and two brothers, George Washington and Roosevelt Washington.
He is survived by seven sons, Chatman Shoulders Jr., T.J. Shoulders, Jim Shoulders, Ronald Shoulders and Randy Shoulders, all of Carlisle, George Shoulders of Chicago and Robert Shoulders of Jackson; five daughters, Janie M. Epps of Hermanville and Elizabeth Shoulders, Annie M. Walker, Elsie King and Mary Davis, all of Carlisle; five brothers, James Marshall of Kenner, La., J.W. Shoulders of Chicago and Emmanuel Shoulders, Pat Davis and Willie Shoulders, all of Jackson; seven sisters, Ida Washington, Mattie M. Shoulders, Lela Shoulders and Lizzie M. Shoulders, all of Jackson, Cora Shoulders of Chicago, Candace Shoulders of Cleveland, Ohio, and Viola Shoulders of West Wago, La.; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jones Chapel Church in Carlisle with the Rev. Johnnie Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. and from noon Saturday until the service at the church
Mildred N. Wright
Mildred N. Wright died today, April 17, 2003, at her home. She was 77.
Mrs. Wright was a McComb native and lived for a number of years in Hazlehurst before moving to Vicksburg in 1952. She worked as an agent and telegraph operator for Illinois Central Railroad for 41 years.
She was a member of the AARP and Senior Citizens of Mississippi. She was a member of Hawkins United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter E. Newman Sr.; her mother, Bettie Ferguson Jordan; a brother, Walter E. Newman; and her husband, C.L. Wright Jr.
Mrs. Wright is survived by cousins, Carl Kinstley and Nell Long, both of Jackson; Lena Hedgepeth of Winona; Billy M. Shelton of Natchez; Edwina McGee of Hazlehurst; and Sadie F. Myers of Westerville, Ohio.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitchell Hedgepeth officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Case, Bobby Greenlee, Jeff Irons, Eddie Martin, R.C. Smith and Peter Eargle.
