Willena Griffin Buck

Willena Griffin Buck died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 83.

Mrs. Buck was a retired homemaker and a member of Travelers Rest M.B. Church, where she served on the Women’s Mission.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Griffin and Margaritt Fuller, and her stepfather, Eugene Fuller Sr.

Survivors include a son, Willie James Buck of Las Vegas; four daughters, Sarah Brown and Carolyn Buck, both of New Orleans, and Brenda Buck and Diane Buck Reynolds, both of Vicksburg; her stepmother, Elnora Fuller of Vicksburg; two sisters, Florine Conway of Las Vegas and Annie Mae Griffin of San Jose, Calif.; six brothers, Eugene Fuller Jr. and Sam Griffin, both of Vicksburg, Leon Fuller of Las Vegas, Isaiah Fuller of Detroit, Johnny Lee Griffin of Atlanta and Amos Griffin of Greensburg, N.C.; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including members of the Wilson, Washington, Freeman and Griffin families.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

R.B. Jordan

PEARL R.B. Jordan died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson. He was 65.

Mr. Jordan was a resident of Pearl.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Jordan of Pearl; a son, Jim Jordan of Brandon; two sisters, Vera Landers of Vicksburg and Nancy Ferguson of Forest; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Diabetes Foundation, 16 Northtown Drive, Jackson, MS 39211.

Johnny Turner

EDWARDS Services for Johnny Turner will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Little Zion M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Turner died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 91.

He was a resident of Edwards and a deacon at Little Zion M.B. Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rella Turner of Edwards; six sons, Johnny L. Turner of Saginaw, Mich., Willie L. Turner and Vertis Richards, both of Flint, Mich., John Turner of Tennessee, Charlie Turner of Champaign, Ill., and Patrick Turner of Edwards; six daughters, Hazel Turner of Saginaw, Hutercene McGrigs of Utica, Clara Ceasar, Chandra Krilklon and Jennifer Turner, all of Jackson, and Nell Turner of Flint; two brothers, Charlie Turner of Saginaw and Otis Turner of Muskegon, Mich.; 33 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including A.J. Wilson and Victoria Bush, both of Edwards.
