Lela Lucille Hazel

OAK GROVE Lela Lucille Hazel died Monday, July 19, 2004, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. She was 89.

Mrs. Hazel was a resident of Oak Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Antee.

Survivors include two sisters, Etta Billings of Bastrop, La., and Cara Mae Townsend of Delta; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cox Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Dunn Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Frith, Steve Griffin, Justin Griffin, Mike Rosales, Gene McGaha and Tom David Waters.

Tommie Nailor Sr.

Services for Tommie “Man” Nailor Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Calvary M.B. Church with the Rev. Mincer Minor Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the service at the church.

Mr. Nailor died Sunday, July 18, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. He was 92.

He was a member of Mount Calvary M.B. Church. He was retired from the Canadian Railroad and was a former self-employed carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena Bass and Mack Nailor; a brother, Johnny Nailor Sr.; and two sisters, Della Nailor-Mitchell and twin.

Survivors include three sons, Leon Nailor, Tommy Nailor Jr. and Luster L. Nailor, all of Vicksburg; six daughters, Josephine T. Montgomery and Fannie Barclay, both of Chicago, Ethel Johnson, Ruby E. Green and Lilly R. Moore, all of Vicksburg, and Shelby M. Robinson of Fredericksburg, Va.; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including the Prentiss, Bruce and Green families.

Doris M. Winters

LAKE PROVIDENCE Doris M. Winters died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Carroll Nursing Home in Oak Grove. She was 86.

Mrs. Winters was a resident of Lake Providence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. Winters; a son, David Winters; her parents, Cherie Eugene and Mattie Major; her stepmother, Delle Major; and two brothers, Don Major and Dr. Cherie Major.

Survivors include a son, Major Winters of Lake Providence; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. James W. Spitzkeit officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Providence City Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike McKenzie, Robert McKenzie, Tommy Condrey, Lamar Williams, Bubba Minsky and John S. McKenzie.

Honorary pallbearers will be Van Hicks, Dr. Frank Cain, Capt. Jack Wyly, John Howard and Sam House.
