WC rallies to defeat Brookhaven

[4/7/04]Warren Central scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to beat Brookhaven 5-3 on Tuesday night.

Brittany Fuller struck out seven and walked two to earn the win.

The Lady Vikes only had three hits, but good baserunning and five Brookhaven errors was enough for a win.

Lauren Anderson stroked a triple, while Lake Ashley and Mandy Fuller each had a single.

In the deciding sixth inning, Cookie Johnson walked and Ashley followed with a single. An error allowed Johnson and Ashley to score as WC took a 4-3 lead. A Mandy Fuller single scored Tiffany Fuller for a two-run advantage.

Brittany Fuller retired Brookhaven in the seventh.

The Lady Vikes will host top-ranked Madison Central on Thursday before their playoff opener on Saturday against Ocean Springs.
