NEW IBERIA Patricia McNamara LeBlanc died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. She was 63.

A Vicksburg native, Mrs. LeBlanc was a retired director of nursing at Dauterive Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick J. McNamara, and her nephew, John P. Hebler.

Survivors include her husband, Mervin LeBlanc of New Iberia; her mother, Mary Ruth DeRossette McNamara of Vicksburg; five sisters, Martha Shelley McNamara of Aliquippa, Pa., Maggie Husted of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Alice Hebler and Maureen Nichols, both of Vicksburg, and Laura Guillot of Harahan, La.; three brothers, Mike McNamara of Clear Lake Shores, Texas, Pat McNamara Jr. of Jackson and Arthur McNamara of Chicago; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre, La., and at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 2 until 10 p.m. today at Evangeline Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Christine Laverne Green Martin

Christine Laverne Green Martin died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. She was 35.

Mrs. Martin was born in Memphis and had lived most of her life in Vicksburg. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alberta Moore; and an uncle, Alonzo Green.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Willie Martin Sr.; three sons, Willie Martin Jr., Marques Martin and Reginald Martin; eight daughters, Lawanda Green, Tamekia Martin, Brittany Martin, Lakisha Martin, Agnes Martin, Ti’Esha Martin, Fredrica Martin and Tristin Martin; her mother, Catherine Green, all of Vicksburg; her father, Ramond Mitchell of Memphis; three brothers, Alan Green, Steven Green and Anthony Green, all of Vicksburg; one granddaughter; and other relatives and friends, including Reginald Smith.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home of Vicksburg is in charge of arrangements.

Herbert Felton McPhail Sr.

EDWARDS Herbert Felton McPhail Sr. died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. He was 62.

Mr. McPhail worked as an instructor for Hinds Community College for 32 years. He was a Master Mason with the Goodman Masonic Lodge No. 489. He was a member of Hinds Independent Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Mac McPhail of Richland and Quint McPhail of Terry; two daughters, Lynn Dilmore and Leigh Lawler, both of Clinton; three brothers, Charles Ray McPhail, Hubert McPhail and Herman McPhail; three sisters, Lucille Bodie, Addie Mae Holloway and Janelle Briggs; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hinds Independent Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Reeves Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 tonight at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond and after 1 p.m. Monday at the church.

Eules Sherman Paul

OAK GROVE Eules Sherman Paul died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He was 60.

Born in Humphrey, Ark., he lived in Oak Grove.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Sherman Paul.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Paul of Oak Grove; his mother, Annie Paul of Oak Grove; two daughters, Leanda P. Bancroft and MaKayla Paul, both of Oak Grove; and six sisters, Ella Belle Heard and Sarah Jane Lloyd, both of Lake Providence, Barbara Faye Stanley, Opal Lucille Carter and Marylan Ann Stanley, all of Oak Grove, and Ethel Naomi Evan of Evergreen, Ala.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Sykes officiating. Burial will follow at New Forest Cemetery in Forest, La., under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

William Thomas Winstead

DELHI William Thomas Winstead died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004. He was 71.

Mr. Winstead was born in Eden, Miss., and lived in Mobile, Ala. before moving to Delhi. He was a financial consultant and an Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy S. Wells of Mobile, Ala.

Survivors include three sons, Scott Winstead of New Orleans, Tim Winstead of Tallulah and Kevin Winstead of Pace, Fla.; two daughters, Pam Henderson of Delhi and Cindy Miles of Bastrop; two brothers, Joe Winstead of Lake Village, Ark., and James Winstead of Jackson; a sister, Lena Wood of Plant City, Fla.; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi with Dr. Marcus Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at the Newton Cemetery in Delhi.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. tonight at Cox Funeral Home.
