Fred Course, an employee of APAC, uses a steel wheel roller to pack asphalt as inspector Steve Strong, right, an employee with ABMB engineering of Vicksburg, walks in front Belva Drive Bridge Monday. The bridge was rebuilt by Fordice Construction for $204,660 after it was closed Nov. 18, 2003, due to damage to the support. The new bridge is expected to open Wednesday, said Hunter Fordice of Fordice Construction. Belva Drive, which runs east off U.S. 61 South, connects the highway to Redbone Road.
