Pearlean Johnson Hollins
Pearlean Johnson Hollins died Friday, July 2, 2004, at her home. She was 72.
A resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Hollins was a member of Cool Springs M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Bailey; her parents, Melisia Jordan and Amos Johnson; her brother, J.W. Neal; a stepson, Leon Bailey; and a grandson, Nilton Hollins.
Survivors include seven sons, Dennis Bailey of Memphis, Tommie Bailey of Little Rock, Ark., Freddie Bailey and David Hollins, both of Joliet, Ill., and Newton Hollins, Forrest Hollins and Nathaniel Bailey, all of Eagle Lake; seven daughters, Sharolyn Bailey, Willena Dotson and Dorothy Hollins, all of Vicksburg, Cora Floyd of Moss Bluff, La., Carolyn McDowell of Cleveland, Ohio, Debra Burgess of Columbus, Ohio, and Melisia Moore of Indianapolis, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Vergie Thompson of Indianapolis; five brothers, Odell Jordan, Roosevelt Jordan and Berry Jordan, all of Vicksburg, and Amos Johnson and Simuel Johnson, both of New Orleans; nine sisters, Willie Mae Brown, Ollie Johnson, Carrie Mae Carson and Mary Gray, all of Vicksburg, Cora Mae McClatcher of Memphis, Hattie Haley of New Orleans, Geneva Triham of Inglewood, Calif., Willena Cole of Jackson and Callie Gathings of Blytheville, Ark.; 41 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
