Ellis Alfred Banks
HERMANVILLE Ellis Alfred Banks died Thursday, June 3, 2003, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 64.
A resident of Hermanville, Mr. Banks was a member of First Christian Church. He was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Carrie Lee Banks; and a brother, Charlie Banks.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Banks of Hermanville; five sons, Clay Patrick Banks and Alfred L. Banks, both of Vicksburg, Charles Banks and John Banks, both of Port Gibson, and Ellis A. Banks Jr. of Las Vegas; four daughters, Annie Banks and Shonda Banks, both of Port Gibson, Joyce Banks of Jackson and Latanya Key of San Diego, Calif.; five brothers, Sylvester Banks Jr. and Henry Lee Banks, both of Las Vegas, David Wayne Banks of Clarksville, Tenn., and James Ray Banks and Richard Banks, both of Hermanville; five sisters, Sylvia Reed of St. Louis, Mo., Deloris Boyd of Hermanville and Mary Banks, Martha Lott and Lillie Ruth Edwards, all of Port Gibson; grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Hermanville with the Rev. Horace McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Banks Family Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Port Gibson.
Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Elmer Dee Froman
PEARL Elmer Dee “Ed” Froman died Thursday, June 3, 2004, in Jackson. He was 70.
A former Hermanville resident, Mr. Froman had lived in Pearl since 1974. He was a member of Hermanville United Methodist Church and was a retired track supervisor for Illinois Central Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mable Willis and Elmer Froman; and a sister, Mary Jordon.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dot Froman of Pearl; a son, Johnny Froman of Pearl; two daughters, Judy Froman of Pearl and Betty Westbrook of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, James Dovie Froman of Vicksburg; two sisters, Patsy Clements of Pearl and Shirley Pearson of Lake Providence; and four grandchildren.
Services were Saturday at Rosemont Gardens Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial followed at Hermanville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Westbrook, Chris Westbrook, Jimmy Clements, Brad Clements, Larry Lefteroff and Ray Byram.
Georgia Nell Weber Hutchinson
DELHI Georgia Nell Weber Hutchinson died Friday, June 4, 2004, in Delhi. She was 30.
A Delhi native, Mrs. Hutchinson graduated from Delhi High School and received a bachelor of science degree in agronomy from Louisiana Tech University. She had been employed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the past several years.
Mrs. Hutchinson was preceded in death by her father, James C. Weber.
She is survived by her husband, Stacy Hutchinson; a son, Randall Hutchinson of Delhi; four daughters, Elizabeth Rogers, Kaitlyn Rogers, Paige Hutchinson and Lacey Hutchinson, all of Delhi; her mother, Mary E. “Sally” Weber of Delhi; and two sisters, Mary Jo Clack and Patty W. Singley, both of Delhi.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Delhi with the Revs. Tommy Tarver and Todd Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Newton Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi.
Pallbearers were Randy Thurman, Bret Burns, Kirby McGuffee, Ben Williams, Terry Johnson and Stacy Copeland.
Bonnie Mae Jinkins
Bonnie Mae Jinkins died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. She was 69.
A native of Beech Grove, Ark., Mrs. Jinkins had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 25 years. She was the daughter of the late James Elmer and Mary Velza Martin Horne. She had been a telephone operator for Rainbow Casino in Vicksburg for 10 years. She was a member of Berachah Church and the Moose Lodge of Natchez.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Jinkins; and a grandson, Daniel Clark.
Survivors include six sons, James A. Clark of Pontiac, Mich., Danny R. Clark of Jonesboro, Ark., and David L. Jinkins, Bobby D. Jinkins, Thomas L. Jinkins and Shawn P. Jinkins, all of Vicksburg; two brothers, James “J.R.” Horne Jr. of Blackrock, Ark., and Wayne Horne of Flint, Mich.; a sister, Glenda Kilgore of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Berachah Church with the Rev. Roger Cresswell, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Steven Montgomery, Daniel Slayton, Tay Everett, Rock Fields, Steve Riles, Daniel Riles and Thomas Ward Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Ramsauer, Lula Mae Springs, David Gale, Dr. Susan Chiarito, William Walker and Thomas Ward Sr.

Herman L. Mullen Jr.
Herman L. Mullen Jr. died Monday, June 7, 2004, at G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He was 59.
Mr. Mullen was the son of the late Herman Lester Sr. and Mary Louise Boone Mullen. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10734 and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Mullen is survived by two daughters, Shannon Campbell of Vicksburg and Kelly Mullen of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Marilyn Thompson of Vicksburg and Edna Morton of Griffin, Ga.; two brothers, Bobby Mullen and Jimmy Mullen, both of Vicksburg; and four grandchildren.
Glenwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
