Ethel Jewell Geddis

DELHI Ethel Jewell Geddis died Thursday, July 1, 2004. She was 71.

A Mississippi native, Mrs. Geddis was a former Delhi resident and had lived in Jonesboro for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curly Charles Smith and Nina Jewell Harris Smith.

She is survived by two sons, Freddie Geddis of Delhi and Jimmy Sykes of Marshall, Texas; a brother, Billy John Smith Sr. of Crowville, La.; and four grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Delhi Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. W.H. “Buck” Curry officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
