Thomas L. Berry Sr.
Thomas L. Berry Sr. died Friday, June 11, 2004, at his home. He was 60.
Mr. Berry served in Special Forces in Vietnam with the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aslean Berry; his mother, Ann Marie Williams; a brother, Jimmy Berry; and a sister, Patricia Williams.
Mr. Berry is survived by three sons, Gregory Berry of Saulk Village, Ill., Thomas L. Berry Jr. of Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and James Berry of Vicksburg; a daughter, Michelle Berry Gibbs of Chicago; his father, Clarence B. Young of Vicksburg; a sister, Jewel Jackson of Muskegon, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Roger Keith Heigle
MAYERSVILLE Roger Keith Heigle died Friday, June 11, 2004. He was 41.
Born in Missouri, Mr. Heigle was a resident of Mayersville most of his life. A commercial agriculture pilot, he owned Heigle’s Flying Service and was a member of the Lake Washington Baptist Church.
Mr. Heigle was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Lee Heigle.
He is survived by his wife, Traci Kirby Heigle of Mayersville; his parents, Roger Loyd Heigle of Mayersville and Joann B. Simmons of Cary; a son, Steven Keith Heigle of Vicksburg; a daughter, Caitlin Paige Heigle of Mayersville; a brother, Brad B. Heigle of Straight Bayou; a stepbrother, Blake Moon of Mayersville; three sisters, Konny Heigle of Mayersville and Marlaina Heigle, both of Mayersville, and Misty Heigle Joiner of Cary.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Anguilla with the Rev. Brad Moak officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Cemetery in Glen Allan.
Visitation is from 4 until 7 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
Pallbearers will be Gary Burns, Junior Boyd, Joe Taylor, Ricky Boyd, Mike Lewis and Oscar Clark.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Herman, Tommy Kirby, Roger Massey, Johnny Herman, Todd Heigle, Richard Jones, Tony Williams, Mike Kirby, James Hamlin, David Burke, Robert Golitz and Chris Robertson.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for Steven and Caitlin Heigle at the Bank of Anguilla.
Minnie Juanice Smith
OAK GROVE Minnie Juanice Smith died Friday, June 11, 2004 at West Carroll Care Center. She was 74.
Born in Kilbourne, Ms. Smith was a resident of Oak Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Melton Barron Sr. and Winne Theresa Barron; a daughter, Barbara Ann Tibbits; two brothers, John Melton “Buddy” Barron Jr. and Wilton A. Barron.
Ms. Smith is survived by two sons, Shannon Smith of Kilbourne and Billy Mike Tibbits of Mammoth Springs, Ark.; a sister, Marion Barron Thornton of Palestine, Texas; 10 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove with the Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Oak Grove.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
