Bill Faul

UTICA Bill Faul died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at his home in Utica. He was 75.

Born in Hattiesburg, Mr. Faul had lived in Utica for the past 31 years. He was a Navy veteran, having served in World War II, and was a retired state plant manager for South Central Bell Telephone Co. He was a member of Chapel Hills Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patrisha P. Faul of Utica; a son, Ben Faul of Torrance, Calif.; two daughters, Lisa Ashby of Hattiesburg and Julia Drennan of Laurel; a sister, Juanita Voll of Abita Springs, La.; and three grandchildren, Dustin Strong and Meghan Strong, both of Hattiesburg, and Sarah Drennan of Laurel.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica with the Rev. Charles Gammel officiating.

Rosemary Koestler Hude

Rosemary Koestler Hude died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Grand Prairie Health Center in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was 79.

Mrs. Hude was born in Vicksburg to the late Charles Koestler Sr. and Katherine O’Hara “Kate” Koestler. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier Academy and attended Webster Grove College in St. Louis, Mo. She was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry William Hude; and a brother, Robert Koestler.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy H. McKay Carpenter of Mansfield, Texas; two sons, Harry W. Hude II of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Charles K. Hude of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Katherine K. Raworth of Vicksburg; two brothers, Charles Koestler Jr. of Vicksburg and Leo Carl “Mickey” Koestler of Vicksburg; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Owen, Pat Owen, Charles Koestler III, Danny Koestler, Carl Koestler, Mark Koestler, Paul Koestler, Kevin Koestler, Michael Koestler, Lawrence Koestler, Robert Koestler and Christopher Koestler.

Memorials may be made to Vicksburg Catholic School, 1900 Grove St., Vicksburg, MS 39183.

Mildred Heath Williams

Mildred Heath Williams died today, April 12, 2004, at Vicksburg Convalescent Center. She was 82.

Born in Port Gibson, Mrs. Williams was a resident of Vicksburg and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Wayne Williams; a son, Dornell Davis Sr.; two daughters, Dorothy Davis and Gwendolyn Moore Algora; and her parents, Dock Heath and Octavia Williams.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Heath of Vicksburg and Robert Heath of Leavenworth, Kan.; a daughter, Betty Heath of Vicksburg; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
