Mary R. Bondurant

ST. JOSEPH, La. – Funeral services for Miss Mary R. Bondurant, 75, of St. Joseph, La., will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at 11 a.m. with Father Bob Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Miss Bondurant was born April 29, 1930, in St. Joseph. She died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at her home in St. Joseph. She was a retired school teacher. She was active in Christ Episcopal Church, also serving on the Vestry and Altar Guild, Bruin Vidal Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the First Families of Mississippi, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the War of 1812, Colonial Dames of 17th Century and Daughters of the American Colonists.

She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Gay Bondurant, and her mother, Mary Bondurant.

Survivors include one sister, Catherine Prince of Natchez; two brothers, Albert Gay Bondurant and wife Clotile of Baker, La., and Robert Kirk Bondurant of Quepos, Costa Rica; two nieces, Catherine Ruth Prince of Natchez and Cathy Bondurant McHugh and husband David of Zachary, La.; a nephew, Albert W. Bondurant and wife Lynn of Birmingham, Ala.; and three great-nephews, William, Daniel and Drake Bondurant of Birmingham.

She was affectionately known as Aunt Mary by her surviving cousins.

Pallbearers will be Michael Gray, George Gray, Albert W. Bondurant, Scott Watson, Harold Clark and William Bondurant.

Honorary pallbearers are W.W. Watson, Phillip Watson, James McNew and Mike Gray.

The family will receive friends at Christ Episcopal Church from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday.

Memorial donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church in St. Joseph or to charities of your choice.

James William Carr

Memorial services for James William Carr will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with John Knight officiating.

Mr. Carr died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at his home in Redwood. He was 73.

Mr. Carr was born in Hollandale and had lived in Warren County since early childhood. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1950 until 1952. He was retired from the Corps of Engineers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Thelma Vernell Carr.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia N. &#8220Ginger” Carr of Redwood; two daughters, Lisa Carr Martin and Shelly L. Carr, both of Vicksburg; a son, James Gregory Carr of Darien, Ill.; two stepsons, Christopher David Ashley of Raymond and Jason Allen Ashley of Eagle Lake; and seven grandchildren.

Robert Lee Devoils

Services for Robert Lee Devoils will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion M.B. Church, Ballground. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Dillon-Chisley and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.

Mr. Devoils died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 30.

Born in Vicksburg, Mr. Devoils was a 1994 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was on the football team. He was employed at Anderson-Tully Co. for the past 10 years and was a member of Mount Zion M.B. Church at Ballground.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Estella Devoils.

Survivors include Jessie Rose Sylvester of Valley Park; two sons, Robert Lee Devoils Jr. and JaDariuce Devoils, both of Valley Park; a stepson, Devonteye Sylvester of Valley Park; a stepdaughter, Deshawnte Sylvester of Valley Park; his stepfather, Donald Jeffery of Redwood; his paternal grandmother, Earl Jeffery of Redwood; his maternal grandfather, L.C. Dotson of Vicksburg; and other relatives, including Melvin and Ora Ragan of Ballground.

Naeasea Nicole Johnson

Services for Naeasea Nicole Johnson will be at noon Saturday at Pleasant Valley M.B. Church with the Rev. Douglas Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home.

Naeasea died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. She was 20.

She was a special education student at Beechwood Elementary.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jessie Magsby.

She is survived by her parents, Elijah and Darlene Johnson; her grandparents, Elijah Johnson Sr. and Dorothy Mae Johnson; three sisters, Amanda Otis, Jazmin Johnson and Likisha Miller, all of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles and other relatives, including members of the Johnson and Otis families.
