Terry L. Stewart

Terry L. Stewart died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He was 56.

Mr. Stewart had lived in Clinton for the past eight years and was a native of Vicksburg, where he graduated from Warren Central High School.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty L. Davis Stewart.

He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, receiving the Purple Heart medal for his service in Vietnam. He was a member of the Moose Club. He retired from Specialty Distribution.

He is survived by his father, Harry A. Stewart Sr. of Canton; one daughter, Virginia Davis of Dallas; two brothers, Harry Stewart Jr. of Brandon and Larry Stewart of Vicksburg; and one sister, Laura Sykes of Byram.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from noon Monday until the service.

Donald Audean Whitley

CHARLESTON, Miss. – Donald Audean Whitley died of heart failure Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson. He was 74.

Mr. Whitley was born in Anniston, Ala., and was a retired farmer. He was a very active member of Charleston First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Watts Whitley; three daughters, Lee Anne Whitley of Vicksburg, Kay Winstead and her husband Keith of Madison, and Elaine Dodd and her husband Wes, also of Madison; one sister, Elsie Tabor of Memphis; one brother, Clifford Whitley of Birmingham; and two grandchildren, Wesley Dodd and Whitley Winstead.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005 at Charleston First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Rowland Cemetery near Charleston.

Visitation will be today from 5 until 8 p.m. at Womble Funeral Home in Charleston, Miss.

Jason Burle Belk

SENECA, S.C. – Jason Burle Belk died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, in Seneca, S.C. He was 26.

Mr. Belk was an automobile salesman and a professional rodeo bullfighter.

He is survived by his parents, Crosby S. Simmons III of Vicksburg and Anita Belk Dill of Inverness; two sons, Lane Belk and Hayes Belk, both of Greenwood; one daughter, Sara Kathryn Belk of Greenwood; two brothers, Gregory C. Simmons of Vicksburg and James Michael Dill of Greenwood; two sisters, Beverly Lynne Simmons of Vicksburg and Holly Dill of Inverness; and his grandparents, Fred Belk of Blaine, Crosby S. Simmons Jr. of Eagle Lake and Martha Simmons of Inverness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Indianola.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday until the service at the church.

Mortimer Funeral Home in Indianola has charge of arrangements.
