Mary Brown

Services for Mary Brown will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Triumph M.B. Church with the Rev. Larry A. Nicks officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Monday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004. She was 86.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Triumph M.B. Church and a homemaker. She was a member of House of Ruth Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hallie and Mary Clay Kelly; one son, A.C. Brown; and two sisters, Claudie B. Wallace and Isabell Jenkins.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Brown of Vicksburg; two sons, Robert Brown of Vicksburg and Freddie Brown of Jackson; three daughters, Ernestine Winters and Lola Derbo, both of Bloomington, Ind., and Delores Brannon of Vicksburg; 52 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Ethel Bertha Clark Elmore

Services for Ethel Bertha “Net” Clark Elmore will be at noon Monday at New Zion M.B. Church with the Rev. Henry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at New Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 7 this evening at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home. The body will be at the church at 11 a.m. Monday.

Mrs. Elmore died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at her home. She was 99.

Mrs. Elmore was a member of New Zion M.B. Church, where she was a former secretary and on the Mother Board. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Willard Elmore, Henry Wright and Paul Elmore; two daughters, Georgia Raye and Bertha Elmore; her father, Julius Clark Sr.; her mother, Ruth Sanders; and a brother, Julius Clark Jr.

She is survived by her husband, George Elmore of Vicksburg; and three daughters, Alma Moore, Gwendolyn Carter and Mary Elmore, all of Vicksburg.

Mary Louise Harmon

Mary Louise Harmon died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 64.

Mrs. Harmon was born in Bolton and had lived in Vicksburg most of her life. She was a graduate of Carr Central High School and Hinds School of Nursing where she received her registered nurse degree. She was employed by Mercy Hospital, by ParkView Regional Medical Center as a nursing supervisor and by the State of Mississippi Home Health before she retired.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Anderson Sr., and a brother, Johnny F. Anderson.

Survivors include her husband, John D. “Doug” Harmon; a daughter, Michelle Carroll; two sons, John E. “Ricky” Harmon and Wade “Rusty” Harmon; her mother, Mary F. Anderson of Vicksburg; one brother, Leroy Anderson of Texas; eight grandchildren; and other relatives including Diane Pettway of Vicksburg, and several nieces and nephews.

Riles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
