Ann Catledge Monie
Ann Catledge Monie died Thursday, June 2, 2005, at her residence. She was 82.
Born in Hollandale, Miss., she was the granddaughter of John Wiley and Anna Bell Merriman Glasco and the daughter of Harvey Howard and Gertrude Glasco Catledge. She was a longtime resident of Greenville, Miss., and had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1992. Mrs. Monie was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Jane Monie Bolm and her husband, George, of Vicksburg; a son, William H. Monie Jr. and his wife, Phyllis, of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandsons, Christopher M. Bolm of Asheville, N.C., William Harrison Monie III of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jared Phillip Monie of Jacksonville, Fla.; one great-granddaughter, Lainie Elizabeth Monie of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Mabel Catledge Baum of Greenville; and her wonderful caregivers, Caroline Johnson, Gertrude Williams, Lynda Jackson, Wanda Mason, Ora Mason, Jackie Biggs and Liz Byrd.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Harrison Monie Sr.; an infant son, John Michael Monie; two sisters, Myra Catledge and Melba Catledge Lenox; and two brothers, Harvey H. Catledge and H. Mancil Catledge.
Services for Mrs. Monie will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home with Father Patrick Farrell, pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Visitation will be Monday from noon until the hour of the service. Interment services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenville City Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.

Almeda Rawlings Carter
Almeda Rawlings Carter died Sunday, May 29, 2005, in Greensboro, S.C. She was 38.
Mrs. Carter was a native of Vicksburg and resident of Atlanta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Rawlings Sr., and a brother, Corey Rawlings.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Rawlings of Vicksburg; a stepmother, Willette Rawlings of Vicksburg; six brothers, Timothy Rawlings of Richmond, Va., Christopher Rawlings of Vicksburg, James Walker of Fort Myers, Fla., Clifton Rawlings Jr., of Vicksburg, Antonie Walker of Atlanta and Charles Meekins of Vicksburg, and a sister, Tonya Meekins of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Living Word Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillion-Chisley Funeral Home.
