The St. Aloysius Flashes needed to do some quick work this morning if they wanted to claim the Class 1A state championship.

After Tuesday’s opening round, the Flashes found themselves nine strokes behind Cathedral.

The final round was scheduled for this morning at the Vicksburg Country Club.

Chase Smith led all golfers with a 74, two strokes better than Cathedral’s Mathew Hall.
