William David Chappell

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Services for William David Chappell were at 11 a.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating. Burial followed at Yokena Cemetery.

Mr. Chappell died Monday, July 18, 2005, at Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va. He was 74.

Mr. Chappell retired from Youngtown Steel and Tube in East Chicago, Ind. He moved to Pensacola, Fla., where he was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Marie Chappell; and his wife, Myrtle Curtis Chappell.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Kay Velez and Paula Dale Puckett; one son, Paul David Chappell; one stepdaughter, Kathy Sue Miller; two sisters, Doris Forbes and Betsy Smith; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons Dustin Puckett, Tim Miller, Jeff Chappell, Matthew Chappell, Kenneth Chappell, Steve Chappell and Brian Weaver.

Lee M. Freutel

IRVING, Texas – Lee M. Freutel, formerly of Vicksburg, died June 12, 2005, in Irving, Texas. She was 91.

Mrs. Freutel was the widow of Bernard J. Freutel. She was born Oct. 3, 1913, to John and Lena Shows McGinnis.

She is survived by daughters, Ann Gilman and husband Bruce of Irvine, Calif., and Kay Freutel of Irving, Texas; and a sister, Katherine Young of Fayetteville, Tenn.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Irving.

Jerry L. Hall

Jerry L. Hall died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 50.

Mr. Hall was born in Atlanta. He had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 30 years.

He was a construction worker. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Claudette Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Hall of Vicksburg; one stepdaughter, Aftan Barnes of Vicksburg; one brother, Charles Hall of Alton, Mo.; and three sisters, Barbara White of Jonesboro, Ark., Jody McCammon and Jessie Boleware, both of Vicksburg.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Dunaway officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Keaten E.D. Jackson

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Keaten E.D. Jackson died Saturday, July 16, 2005, in Syracuse, N.Y. He was 24.

Mr. Jackson attended Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.

He is survived by his wife, Amber N. Jackson of Syracuse; a son, Keamar Jackson of Syracuse; his mother, Dolores Jackson of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Quentin W. Jackson of Orlando; one sister, Shawntain Jackson of Ithaca, N.Y.; his maternal grandmother, Dolores Bullock of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
